FORMER CIA, COUNTER-TERRORISM OFFICER MAKES PUBLICLY AVAILABLE TERRORISM SURVIVAL HANDBOOK A COMPLETE GUIDE FOR THE SAFETY OF INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES (Los Angeles, California) - Americans do not need to live in fear of terrorism. Bazzel Baz, former CIA agent, counter-terrorism officer and current technical advisor for CBS' The Agency, is making available to the public the Terrorism Survival Handbook. Originally published 16 years ago for military families, the booklet has been revised and expanded to include tips for the general community. Terrorism Survival Handbook is available for $7.50 for the booklet or $5.00 for a downloadable copy at www.terrorismsurvivalhandbook.com. The booklet is a veritable "how-to" on avoiding terrorism. Baz explains, "I want to alleviate some of the fear that Americans are feeling."
Topics covered in the Terrorism Survival Handbook include handling contaminated mail, aversion of being a target for terrorism and encouraging family awareness. The concise guide is presented in an easily accessible format - the booklet is one part handbook and one part checklist. "Following these tips will make Americans more aware, more educated and more courageous in the face of terrorism," says Baz. Bazzel Baz is a former Marine and CIA officer who currently serves as writer-technical advisor for the CBS drama, The Agency. He will also be featured in the upcoming USA Network reality TV series, Combat Missions. Upon graduation from The Citadel, Baz served in the United States Marine Corps with his final tour of duty as a counter-terrorism officer before being recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency. He subsequently served for numerous years supporting the CIA in field intelligence collection operations including regions in the Middle East and Africa. As paramilitary officer, Baz developed and recommended policy, operational doctrine, hostage rescue, methods and techniques for use in clandestine activities. In addition to his qualifications with the CIA, Marine Corps and work in the entertainment industry, Baz is qualified as a Secret Service firearms instructor and was the recipient of the Nation's Intelligence Commendation Medal. Bazzel Baz continues to maintain close relations with the international intelligence community.
