From and Inspired By Critically Acclaimed Motion Picture

Hollywood, CA – March 11, 2004 - "The street date for the BT-Monster CD/DVD double disc set has been postponed until June, to parallel an aggressive marketing roll-out of the studio's DVD-Video of this critically-acclaimed motion picture starring Academy Award winner for Best Actress, Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci.

Blending Americana-inspired melodic sensibilities and non-traditional instrumentation, BT conceived and recorded the entire original score for Monster 5.1 surround sound. • CD of extended stereo mixes of BT’s original film score

  • Bonus DVD with exclusive DTS 5.1 surround mixes of music from and inspired by the movie

  • Video interview session with BT and Patty Jenkins

  • Breakdown of dialogue, music and sounds from the “Ferris Wheel” scene

·    Monster Remix Contest with remix parts from BT’s original “Ferris Wheel (Love Theme)” sessions and Ableton’s LIVE sequencing software from M-Audio

  • Theatrical trailer, photo gallery, on-screen bio and related web-links

Initially known as a pioneer of trance music, BT has arrived as one of the most cutting edge artists and composers for a multitude of musical styles. His impressive career began with training in classical music and an education from the Berklee College of Music, lending him the ability to direct 80-piece orchestras for film projects. Highly regarded as a film composer, BT has scored such blockbusters hits as The Fast and The Furious, Under Suspicion, Go, and Driven. He is also recognized for producing artists such as *NSYNC and Britney Spears, remixing Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Korn and Seal, and working with Sting and Peter Gabriel. In 2003, he released his fourth full length release, Emotional Technology (Nettwerk America), featuring the hugely successful radio single, “Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist).”

About “Monster”

Monster was written and directed by first-timer Patty Jenkins and co-produced by Charlize Theron, the film is based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos. Wuornos was convicted of the murders of seven men in Florida and executed in 2002 after 12 years on death row. Jenkins unearths a love story in the midst of the horrors and pathologies of two misfits: Wuornos, a prostitute deemed by the media as the first “female serial-killer” a monster and Selby Ward (Ricci). The two meet and fall in love just as Wuornos was nearing suicidal despair. Selby becomes the first person in Wuornos’ tragic existence to value her as a human being. Theron won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Wuornos.
